  I thought we were looking at a recent prize-winning book on history which has been found to have many substantial errors within its pages -- . 13 best books for preschoolers. This wonderful book, sub-titled “A celebration of children everywhere”, is full of cheery illustrations and the kind of facts that inquisitive pre-schoolers Author: Fran Yeoman.

The book succinctly explores skeletal, DNA, linguistic, mythic and other evidence that indicates that the Americas were subject to many migrations, that across the Bering Straits being only among the more recent, with people coming from across both the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans, from as long ago as the European Stone Age.   To read the book today is startling as so many of its predictions have come true – like the Philistinism of the state, the debasement of sex and the insistence on happiness. The book was a huge hit.
